10 Slide sliding sleeve (12) carefully onto the synchronizer body (6), until it makes contact with the hose clamp.
The sliding sleeve (12) has three 180° offset grooves (arrow B) into which the synchronization balls mesh. There are also three large, 180° offset teeth (arrow C) on the sliding sleeve (12) which can only be positioned into the corresponding cutouts. These special features help to define the exact installation position of the sliding sleeve (12).
11 Push sliding sleeve (12) carefully downwards and remove the hose clamp.
Make sure that the balls and thrust pieces for the synchronization do not slip, if necessary, repeat operation steps 8 to 10.
12 Position synchronizer ring (13) on the output shaft (1).
13 Position needle bearing (14) on the output shaft (1).
14 Position idler gear for 2nd. gear (15) on the output shaft (1).

24 Insert thrust pieces (22) into synchronizer body (21).
25 Slide sliding sleeve (23) carefully onto the synchronizer body (21).
Ensure that the thrust pieces (22) do not slip.
The sliding sleeve (23) has three 180° offset grooves
(arrow D) into which the thrust pieces (22) of the synchronization mesh.
There are also three large, 180° offset teeth (arrow E) on the sliding sleeve (23) which can only be positioned into the corresponding cutouts. These special features help to define the exact installation position of the sliding sleeve (23).
