Remove/install

 Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Only the radial shaft sealing ring (1) (i.e. left or right) which is damaged and/or leaking needs to be replaced on the transmission

Raise vehicle

Remove left or right rear wheel

Remove rear axle shaft

Using a suitable tool, pry radial shaft sealing ring (1) out of transmission housing (2)

 Do not damage the sealing surface in the transmission housing (2).

 Installation: Carefully drive the radial shaft sealing ring (1) into the transmission housing (2) using the drift (3).

The radial shaft sealing ring (1) must be flush with the transmission housing (2).
