Reset and tension dual clutch

Model

453 (except 453.09/39/49) with transmission 700.41

 Mount clamping device (2), as shown, to dual clutch (1) and tighten lightly by hand.

Turn adjustment ring (1.1) using screwdriver (3) in direction of arrow and keep tensioned.

 The end stops of the adjustment ring (1.1) must make contact with the pin on the dual clutch (1) (arrow).

Clamp outer disk spring using  clamping device (2)and hook shackles (1.2) into hooks (1.3).

 Helper required.

Remove screwdriver (3).

 Remove clamping device (2) from dual clutch (1).

 Mount clamping device (2), as shown, to dual clutch (1) and tighten lightly by hand.

 The pins (2.1) must be seated firmly on the springs (1.4).

Tension and hold adjusting ring (1.5), as shown.

Tension inner disk spring using  clamping device (2) until the springs (1.4) latch into the holes of the inner disk spring.

 Check springs (1.4) are latched into place and stop tensioning process as soon as the last spring (1.4) is latched into place.
If the inner disk spring is overtensioned, its mechanism will jam up.

 Helper required.
The springs (1.4) latch audibly into place.

 Remove clamping device (2) from dual clutch (1).
