Remove/install

Remove heat shield (3).

Unclip coolant hose (5) on fan shroud (1).

Raise vehicle.

Unclip coolant line (4) on fan shroud (1).

5.1

Detach lock nuts (2a).

 The fan shroud (1) is above and is fastened below respectively with 2 speed nuts (2a) to the cooler.

5.2

Unlock shackles (2b) on both sides.

Lift fan shroud (1) and push to the rear.

 Push fan shroud (1) to the rear until the screw/bolt (9) is accessible.

 Installation: Observe correct seating of retaining lug (arrows) of the fan shroud (1) in the mounts on cooler.

Insert cooler guard plate.



Insert counterholder (6) at coolant pump belt pulley.

Remove screw (9) on viscous fan clutch (8) using the screwdriver (10) and put-on torque wrench (11).

Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths

Remove fan shroud (1) together with the viscous fan clutch (8).

Install in the reverse order.
