 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Check

Remove the cap (1) from the coolant expansion reservoir.

 Turn the cap (1) one half-turn counterclockwise, release the overpressure and then unscrew the cap (1).

Check the cap (1) for corrosion.

If corrosion is present,



change the cap (1).

Attach the adapter (2) to the hose of the pressure pump (3).

Fit the cap (1) on the adapter (2).

Slowly apply test pressure to the cap (1) and establish opening pressure.

 Build up the test pressure by max. 0.4 bar per second until the opening pressure is reached.
The test pressure must decrease once the opening pressure has been reached. When the valve is open, an escape of air with only a small flow volume is discernible. The overpressure valve closes max. 0.35 bar after the opening pressure has been reached.

Remove hose of pressure pump (3) from adapter (2).

Remove the cap (1) from the adapter (2).

Fit the cap (1) on the coolant expansion reservoir.
