Open the engine compartment hood

Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Drain the coolant

Collect the coolant in a suitable container.

Loosen the coolant hoses (1,2,3)

Check the hose and the clamp for damages and replace them if necessary.

Disconnect the coolant level sensor (6)

Only in vehicles equipped with level sensor

Loosen the fastening bolt (4) of the buffer tank (5) to the support

Remove the equalizing tank (5)

7

Install in the reverse order of the steps
