4 | Remove screw/bolts (7) | ||
5 | Remove crossmember (8) | ||
6 | Remove defective lock pin | The defective lock pin is still needed for positioning of the bore. | |
7 | Unclip air deflector (2) above on cooler (1) and pull out of the fan unit (3) | ||
8 | Position fan unit (3) bottom left and top left, as shown, behind the mount on cooler (1) (arrow) | ||
| Install | ||
9 | Apply a bore with a diameter of the 5 mm in the center on the original position of the defective lock pin | If required. | |

10 | Grind assembly area of the new lock pin (4) evenly | ||
11 | Position shim and nut with a suitable tool and screw down new lock pin (4) | ||
12 | Hook in fan unit (3) on the upper left in the mount on cooler (1) and engage in the lower left | ||
13 | Position air deflector (2) in fan unit (3) and clip in cooler (1) | ||
14 | Position crossmember (8) | ||
15 | Tighten screw/bolts (7) | Screw/bolt, reinforcement to carrier | |
16 | Attach refrigerant line (6) to crossmember (8) | Engine 281 in model 453 | |
17 | Hook in expansion reservoir (5) on crossmember (8) | ||
18 | Install both front lamp units |
