1 | Release rear drive module | ||
2 | Drain coolant | ||
3 | Unclip brake booster vacuum line (2) from bracket (3) | ||
4 | Expose fuel feed line (4) and fuel return line (5) in area of coolant thermostat (1) and remove from working area | ||
5 | Disconnect electrical connector at coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) | ||
6 | Disconnect electrical connector from thermostat valve (Y88) | ||
7 | Loosen snap clamps (6) and remove coolant return line (7) and exhaust gas recirculation cooler coolant feed line (8) from coolant thermostat (1) | Installation: Replace snap clamps (6). | |

8 | Loosen clamp (9) and remove coolant feed line (10) from coolant thermostat (1) | | |
9 | Unscrew bolts (11) from coolant thermostat (1) and remove coolant thermostat (1) | Installation: Replace seal between coolant thermostat (1) and cylinder head. | |

10 | Install in the reverse order |
