2 | Remove interior flap above engine | ||
3 | Unclip brake booster vacuum line (2) from brackets (3, 4) | ||
4 | Expose fuel feed line (5) and fuel return line (6) in area of coolant thermostat (1) | ||
5 | Disconnect electrical connector at coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) | ||
6 | Loosen snap clamps (7) and remove coolant return flow line (8) and heater coolant line (9) from coolant thermostat (1) | Installation: Replace snap clamps (7). | |

7 | Unscrew bolts (10) from coolant thermostat (1) | | |
8 | Loosen coolant thermostat (1), detach from coolant feed line (11) and remove | Installation: Replace seal on coolant thermostat (1). | |
9 | Remove cable tie (12) from coolant thermostat (1) | When replacing coolant thermostat (1). | |
10 | Install in the reverse order |
