Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Remove/install

Drain off coolant.

Remove poly-V-belt.

Expose bracket (3) and remove.

 Screw, diesel particulate filter bracket to timing case

 Bolt, diesel particulate filter bracket to crankcase

Remove screws (7) of the electrical wiring harness (6) from the crankcase.

Remove vacuum line (8) from pump unit (1).

Remove screws (9).

 Screw, bearing housing/belt pulley to water pump

Remove pump unit (1) and catch escaping coolant using a suitable container.

 Installation: Replace seal.

Clean sealing surfaces with a lint-free rag.

Install in the reverse order.
