1 | Remove transmitter key and mains plug | ||

2 | Raise vehicle with vehicle lift | ||
3 | Remove underfloor paneling | ||
4 | Release and disconnect electrical connection (5) for electric drive coolant pump and charger (M46) | ||
5 | Remove screw (1) | ||
6 | Remove mounting frame bow (2) and lead electric drive coolant pump and onboard charger (M46) downwards | Lead electric drive coolant pump and charger (M46) downwards until in order to better access the clamps (3). | |
7 | Clamp off coolant hoses (4) at electric drive and charger coolant pump (M46) with clamps | Clamp | |
8 | Undo clamps (3) using hose clamp pliers and slide back onto coolant hoses (4) | Hose clamp pliers | |
9 | Remove coolant hoses (4) from connection fitting and remove electric drive and charger coolant pump (M46) | Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container and seal the connection fittings using suitable stop plugs. | |
Installation: Check clamps (3) and coolant hoses (4) for damage, replace if necessary. | |||
10 | Install in the reverse order | ||
11 | Bleed cooling system with Star Diagnosis | ||
