Remove/install belt pulley for the coolant pump

Detach right rear wheel

Remove expansion clips (2) and remove cover (3)

Remove poly-V belt for supercharger

On vehicles with code (I01) Air conditioning Plus

Loosen bolts (4) for coolant pump belt pulley (1)

Remove alternator cover

Loosen nut (5) on alternator (G2)

Loosen screw (6) on alternator (G2) and poly-V belt by swiveling the alternator (G2) downwards

Remove bolts (4) and take off coolant pump belt pulley (1) at coolant pump (7)



Install

Position coolant pump belt pulley (1) at coolant pump (7) and screw in bolts (4)

 Ensure correct position of poly-V belt on the coolant pump belt pulley (1).

Tighten poly-V belt by pressing alternator (G2) upwards. Then fully tighten nut (5) and bolt (6)



Turn engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft belt pulley in the direction of engine rotation and check belt tension of poly-V belt at a number of locations; retension poly-V belt if necessary

 Measurement of the belt tension must only occur for engine temperatures under 40°C. The value of the belt tension must be about 330 N. The retension limit is about 200 N.



Tighten bolts (4) for coolant pump belt pulley (1)



Install poly-V belt for compressor

Position cover (3) and install expansion clip (2)

Attach right rear wheel
