Remove/install

Remove the alternator (G2).

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) from the engine oil pressure sensor (B42).

Remove engine oil pressure sensor   (B42) and collect escaping engine oil using a rag.

Check sealing ring of the engine oil pressure sensor (B42) for damage.

If damage is present,



Install new engine oil pressure sensor (B42).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check engine oil level and correct if necessary.



Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper leaktightness and leaktightness.

Install upper engine cover.
