Remove/install oil dipstick guide tube

Remove/install

Remove interior flap above engine

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle with lifting platform

Remove bolt (2) to vacuum pump

 Installation: Use suitable insert Torx box wrench for tightening with the prescribed tightening torque.



Remove bolt (3) from timing case cover



Remove oil dipstick guide tube (1) from timing case cover.

 Observe installation position of oil dipstick guide tube (1).

 Installation: Replace sealing ring on oil dipstick guide tube (1).

Install in the reverse order

 Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Carry out an engine test run and check oil dipstick guide tube (1) for leaks
