Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Remove charge air pipe on throttle valve actuator

Remove power steering pump

Remove hoses (3, 4) from heat exchanger (1)

 Hose clamp pliers

Remove heat exchanger (1)

 To do this, remove screws (2).

 Installation: Replace seals and sealing rings.

 Screw/bolt, heat exchanger to retaining plate

Clean

Clean sealing surfaces at heat exchanger (1) and at retaining plate


Do not use any sharp-edged tools or abrasive paper.
The sealing surfaces can be damaged otherwise.

Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray

Install in the reverse order



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
