Remove/install oil-water heat exchanger

2 Oil/water heat exchanger

3 Oil filter housing cap

4 Bolt

5 Gasket

6 Hose clamp

Remove/install

Remove oil filter housing cover (3)

Take out oil filter element so that engine oil can drain off into oil pan.

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Drain coolant

Drain only at radiator.

Remove radiator

Remove coolant hose (1) on oil-water heat exchanger (2)

6 mm socket hexagon on flexible shaft for hose clamps with worm drive

Unscrew oil-water heat exchanger (2) to timing case cover

Remove oil-water heat exchanger (2)

Installation: Clean sealing surfaces, install new gasket (5).

Install in the reverse order

Checking

Inspect cooling system for leaks
