| Remove | ||
1 | Disconnect battery ground cable | ||
2 | Remove paneling on center piece in front of the windshield | ||
3 | Slacken screw (1) | ||
4 | Unscrew screw (2) | ||
5 | Remove catalytic converter with center muffler | ||
6 | Remove refrigerant compressor poly-V belt | ||
7 | Unscrew nuts (3) and remove with springs | ||
8 | Remove exhaust pipe (4) with sealing ring | ||
9 | Unplug connector (5) | ||
10 | Detach electric cable (6) at alternator (G2) | ||
11 | Take out poly-V-belt of alternator (9) | ||
12 | Unscrew nut (7) and pull out bolt (8) | ||
13 | Take out generator (G2) | ||
| Install | ||
14 | Unscrew alternator (G2) with bolt (8) and nut (7) | Install new self-locking nuts (7). | |
Do not tighten the nuts (7) . | |||
15 | Connect electrical cable (6) at alternator (G2) | | |
16 | Connect plug (5) | ||
17 | Fit exhaust pipe (4) with nuts (3), springs and sealing ring | Ensure sealing ring is correctly seated. | |

18 | Install catalytic converter with center muffler | ||
19 | Install alternator poly-V belt (9) and refrigerant compressor poly-V belt | ||
20 | Connect ground cable to battery | ||
Danger! | Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near engine | Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving. | |
21 | Perform engine test run and check exhaust system around exhaust pipe (4) for leaks |
