| Remove/install | ||
1 | Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery. | ||
2 | Remove poly-V-belt guide pulley. | ||
3 | Remove mixer housing. | Engine 654.9 in model 907.1/2/6 | |
4 | Remove windshield washer system washer fluid reservoir and place to one side with connected lines. | Engine 654.9 in model 907.1/2/6 | |
5 | Pull off the cap (2) and remove the nut (4). | Nut, circuit B+ to alternator | |
6 | Remove electrical line B+ (3) from the alternator (1) and place to one side. | ||
7 | Remove bolts (5). | Screw, alternator to major assembly carrier/oil filter | |
8 | Remove the alternator (1). | ||
9 | Pull the alternator (1) forward until electrical connection D+ (6) can be accessed. | ||
10 | Disconnect electrical connection D+ (6). | ||
11 | Remove the alternator (1). | ||
12 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

13 | Perform an engine test run and check the alternator (1) for proper operation. |
