Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Seal filler neck (7) immediately after draining or filling.
Otherwise, contamination may get into the exhaust aftertreatment system, which leads to malfunctions.


Do not use screw cap (2) to seal the filler neck (7) during removal and installation.
Otherwise, screw cap (2) will be damaged.

 Installation: Fill with new NOx reducing agent.

Remove nuts (1).

Remove hoses (3) from right filler neck (7) below platform.

 Plug openings.

 Record plug

Remove cover (9).

 To do so, remove retaining clips (10).

 Installation: Check the retaining clips (10) for damage.

If necessary,



Replace damaged retaining clip (10).

Remove cover (11) and position outside of the working area.

Remove cover (5).

 For this purpose, remove bolts (4).

Open brackets (6).

Remove filler neck (7).

Install in the reverse order.



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check hoses (3) and filler neck (7) for leaks.
