Remove/install

Remove voltage of high-voltage on-board electrical system.

Disconnect ground line from battery.

Remove screw (1) and release bracket with high voltage line.

Disconnect electrical connectors (3) and expose electrical wiring harness (4).

Disconnect high-voltage plug (2) from high voltage PTC heater (N33/5) and seal connections with protective covers.

Ensure utmost care and cleanliness.
Otherwise, damage to the high voltage components may occur.

Unclip equipotential bonding line (5) from the bracket (12) and remove from the high voltage PTC heater (N33/5).

Remove screw/bolts (6).

 Screw, switchover valve holder to high-voltage PTC heater holder

Expose vacuum line (8).

Expose bleed line (9).

Seal coolant hoses (10) with clamping devices.

Remove coolant hoses (10).

 Collect escaping coolant with dry cloths.

 The coolant hoses (10) remain on the high voltage PTC heater (N33/5).

Seal connections of the coolant hoses (10) with suitable stop plugs.

Remove nuts (11).

Remove high voltage PTC heater (N33/5).

Remove coolant hoses (10) from the high voltage PTC heater (N33/5).

When installing a new high voltage PTC heater (N33/5).

Remove bracket (12) from high voltage PTC heater (N33/5).

When installing a new high voltage PTC heater (N33/5).

Install in the reverse order

Correct coolant level.


