Remove

Remove upper engine cover.

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

Remove fuel return hose (1) at tank and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.

 Allow escaping fuel to drain into a suitable container.

Attach vent hose (2) to fuel return hose (1).

 Vent hose (2) consists of two separate parts.

Attach diesel breather pump (3).

Bleeding

Insert electrical connection of diesel breather pump (3) into cigarette lighter or into 12 V socket and establish power supply for diesel breather pump (3).

Bleed fuel system using diesel breather pump (3).

 Continue bleeding process until there are no longer air bubbles in fuel.

Install

Remove electrical connection of diesel breather pump (3) from cigarette lighter or from 12 V socket and disconnect power supply for diesel breather pump (3).

Remove vent hose (2) from fuel return hose (1).

Attach fuel return hose (1) to tank.

 Replace clamp.

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run; in this connection, check fuel system for proper operation and leak tightness.
