5 | Unhook link rod (4) on adjusting lever (5) | ||

6 | Test idle speed | For engines with PISI: Detach vacuum line (8) on the PISI vacuum unit (7), check idle speed and put vacuum line (8) in place. | |
Adjust idle speed if necessary | |||
For engines with ISC: Disconnect connector (X120) on ISC solenoid (Y56) | |||
Adjust idle speed if necessary | |||
Connect up connector (X120). | |||
7 | Test for smooth engine running | Switch on all additional assemblies and turn steering totally in one direction | |
8 | Turn off engine | ||
9 | Inspect throttle control for ease of operation and condition. | Grease all mechanical moving ball joints and bearing points if necessary | |
10 | Check closed throttle stop | The spring cup from the regulating cable must lie in an idle position free of tension on the compression spring; if necessary | |
Set regulation on the chassis side | |||
11 | Hook in link rod (4) | Free of tension, if necessary | |
Set regulation on the engine side | |||

12 | Remove test equipment and install remaining parts |
