Remove

1

Remove clean air line (3).

Remove respective hot film mass air flow sensor (1).

 The hot film mass air flow sensors (1) each form a single unit with their housings (4).

 To do this, pry the corresponding housing (4) out of the clean air line (3).

Check

Check seal (2) between the housing (4) and clean air line (3) for damage.

If seal (2) is damaged,



replace clean air line (3).

Check sealing surface of the housing (4) for damage.

If the sealing surface of the housing (4) is damaged,



replace housing (4) with hot film mass air flow sensor (1).



Install

Install respective hot film mass air flow sensor (1) with housing (4).


Check sealing surface of the housing (4) for correct seating.
Otherwise leaks can occur in the charge air system.

If the sealing surface of the housing (4) is not seated correctly,



correct positioning of the housing (4) in the clean air line (3).

Install new clean air line (3).
