Remove/install

Remove engine cover.

 Installation: Do not install engine cover until after the leak test.

Remove air intake pipe.

Unclip front noise insulation (4) and remove upwards.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (5) at exhaust gas recirculation valve.

Unclip retaining clip (6), expose electrical wiring harness (7) (arrow A) and place to one side.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (8).

Unclip control unit (3).

Expose electric line (2) (arrow B).

Remove union nut from temperature sensor (1).

Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths

 Installation: Coat thread of union nut with heat-resistant lubricating paste.

Remove temperature sensor (1) and seal opening with suitable seal stop.

 Record plug

Install in the reverse order.

Read out and delete fault memory.



Perform engine test run and check engine in area of temperature sensor (1) for leaks.
