Remove/install

Remove trim panel of cylinder head cover

Disconnect temperature sensor connector upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/9x1)

Remove cable binder (3) and detach wiring harness (2) for temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/9) from bracket (4)

Unscrew bolt (6) and take off bracket (5) for lower regeneration line (7)

Detach lower engine compartment paneling

Remove lower regeneration line (7) at catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit

Remove temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/9) from catalytic converter diesel particulate filter unit

Installation: Coat temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/9) with heat-resistant lubricant before installing.

Install in the reverse order

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Check engine test run while checking exhaust system in the area of temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/9) and lower regeneration line (7) for leaks

Read fault memory, erase if necessary

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
