Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Lift vehicle with lifting platform.

AR00.60-D-1000F

 Installation: Only lower vehicle fully after the leak test.

Expose electric line (1).

 Installation: Ensure electrical line (1) is routed correctly.

Release and disconnect electrical connector of temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/12) at underbody.

3.2

Remove, release and disconnect electrical connector (4) at bracket (5).

Remove nut (2) and pull temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/12) out of diesel particulate filter (3).

Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths

 Installation: Coat thread with heat-resistant lubricating paste.

Install in the reverse order.



 Warning

Risk of burn injuries, suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust.

Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area.

Perform engine test run and check for leak tightness in area of temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/12).
