| Remove/install | ||
1 | Remove pressure line from fuel high-pressure pump (5) to fuel distributor. | ||
2 | Remove charge air pipe and swivel out of working area. | ||
The charge air pipe is not removed completely. | |||
3 | Remove screw (1) and swivel fuel line out of working area. | ||
4 | Remove bracket of fuel filter and swivel with connected lines out of working area. | ||

5 | Release and disconnect the electrical connector (2). | ||
6 | Release, disconnect fuel lines (3) and seal exposed connections with suitable stop plugs. | Grommets are available as an replacement part of the fuel injection system; see EPC Group 07. | |
7 | Remove screws/bolts (4). | Bolt, high-pressure pump to cylinder head | |
8 | Pry fuel high-pressure pump (5) out of cylinder head using suitable tool and remove. | | |
Installation: Replace seal. | |||
