1 | Remove cylinder head | ||
2 | Place cylinder head on assembly plate and tighten down using suitable bolts (4) and bolts (arrows) | | |
3 | Screw in counter stays (6) in the area of the valve stem seal (13) to be removed in a suitable threaded hole on the cylinder head (3) | | |
4 | Attach lever handle (9) and thrust piece (8) to thrust fork (7) and hook into counter stay (6) | | |
5 | Position thrust piece (8) in the middle on the upper valve spring retainer (5) and press valve spring (11) together through pressing together the lever handle (9) | | |
6 | Remove valve collets (10) using suitable magnets and also remove thrust fork (7) using a thrust piece (8) and lever handle (9) | | |
7 | Remove upper valve spring retainer (5), valve spring (11) and lower valve spring retainer (12) | Observe installation position of the valve spring (11) and lower valve spring retainer (12). | |
8 | Pull out valve stem seal (13) with pliers | The pliers are contained in the valve repair tool set. | |
Installation: Lubricate new valve stem seal (13) with engine oil. Plug in protective sleeve onto valve stem and press on valve stem seal (13) using a drift. | |||
