Remove/install

Remove engine air intake duct downstream of air filter.

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

Remove the 48 V wiring harness from the engine suspension lug and place to one side.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (2).

Unscrew the bolts (4) and remove the solenoid for the outtake camshaft (Y49/2).

 Installation: Replace screws/bolts (4).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Read out and delete fault memory.



Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper leaktightness and leaktightness.
