Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

Check basic position of camshafts

Lock piston of chain tensioner (1)

For this purpose, press back piston by pressing tensioning rail in direction of chain tensioner (1) and lock using a suitable tool (2) as shown.

Installation: Remove tool (2) where chain tensioner (1) will be reused or remove delivered locking pin where chain tensioner (1) will be replaced.

Once chain tensioner (1) is installed, piston in chain tensioner (1) extends due to removal of tool (2) or locking pin and tensions timing chain.

Remove the chain tensioner (1)

To do this, remove screws/bolts (3).
