Remove camshafts together with camshaft positioners

Disconnect timing chain (1)

 Rivet press tool

Check

Check tensioning rail (2) for wear and damage



If worn or damaged



Replace tensioning rail (2).

Check bottom slide rail (3) for wear and damage

Install camshafts with camshaft positioners

 Only install cylinder head cover after checking the basic position of the camshafts.
