Remove camshafts

Mark valve tappet (1) relative to the basic bores (3)

The valve tappet (1) must remain assigned to the respective basic bores (3).

Remove valve tappet (1) from basic bores (3) in cylinder head (2)


Do not use magnets.
Gathering of the smallest metal shavings can occur due to magnetization of the valve tappet (1) which can lead to damage to the valve tappet (1) and the camshafts.

Check

Check ease of movement of the valve tappet (1) in the basic bores (3) and basic bores (3) for damage

If there are problems:

Replace valve tappet (1) and cylinder head (2).

Install

Assign valve tappet (1) to the basic bores (3)

Observe marking.

Lubricate valve tappet (1) with engine oil and insert in the basic bores (3)

Install camshafts
