Remove

1

Remove the transmission with torque converter.

Engine 654.9 in model 907.1/2/6 with transmission 725.0

Remove position sensor of the crankshaft (12).

Loosen screws (1 to 8) in numerical sequence and remove.


Do not use an impact wrench/driver or similar compressed air tools to loosen the screws (1 to 8).
Otherwise, the thread in the crankshaft flange will be damaged.

 Counterhold crankshaft at front on belt pulley/vibration damper.
Helper required.

Remove perforated disk (9), drive plate (10), and perforated disk (11).

 Depending on the version, the perforated disks (9, 11) can also be fastened firmly to the drive plate (10).



Check

Check drive plate (10) and starter ring gear for wear and damage.

If there is a problem,



replace drive plate (10).

Check the rear radial shaft sealing ring for leak tightness.

If there is a problem,



replace rear radial shaft sealing ring.

Install

Position perforated disk (9), drive plate (10), and perforated disk (11) on the crankshaft flange.

 Pay attention to the guide pin in the crankshaft flange.
Depending on the version, the perforated disks (9, 11) are also fastened firmly to the drive plate (10).
For the version with individual perforated disks (9, 11), new ones must be installed.

Tighten screws (1 to 8) slightly by hand and tighten in numerical sequence.
