Remove

Remove crankshaft (1).

Measure

Clean connecting rod journals (2) using a cleaning cloth (lint-free).

Use outside micrometer (3) to measure the diameter of connecting rod journals (2) at 3 measuring positions (D, E, F), each offset by approx.  60°.

If a measurement value is outside the tolerance:



replace crankshaft (1).

Determine radial play of the crankshaft main bearings.
