Remove

Remove drive plate.

Remove screws/bolts (1).

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (2) with cap (3).



 If necessary, heat cap (3) in the area of the sealing surfaces with a heat gun.

 The radial shaft sealing ring (2) and cap (3) form a unit and cannot be separated.

Check crankshaft for galling and damage.

If there are problems,



Install new crankshaft.

Clean

Clean sealing surface on crankcase and oil pan.

Install

Wet sealing lip of radial shaft sealing ring (2) with engine oil.



 The radial shaft sealing ring (2) and cap (3) form a unit and must be replaced together.

Apply sealant to the cap (3).

Install cap (3) with radial shaft sealing ring (2) with insertion tool.

Tighten screws (1).

 Only install upper engine cover and lower engine compartment paneling after the performing a leak test.

Check engine oil level and correct.


