Install holding device for engine block

Remove oil pan

Unscrew oil filter cover (1)

Installation: Clean sealing surfaces.

Replace gasket and filter element.

Remove alternator

Unscrew bolts (2) and remove the alternator bracket

Unscrew bolts (3) on the timing case cover

Take off timing case cover

The timing case cover is positioned in the lower area of the crankcase by means of dowel pins.

Lever off the timing case cover axially to the crankshaft on the casting lug (arrow) on the crankshaft.

Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and coat with sealant.
