Remove/install

Remove air-water duct

Remove cable duct at the cylinder head cover (2)

Remove injectors

 Seal openings using rags.

Remove hose (1)

Disconnect electrical connection for camshaft Hall sensor (B623, )

Remove electrical wiring harness for camshaft Hall sensor (B6/23)

Remove cylinder head cover (2) screw/bolts

 Screw/bolts remain on the cylinder head cover (2).

 Screw/bolt, cylinder head cover to cylinder head

Remove cylinder head cover (2)

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace gasket.

Modify camshaft Hall sensor (B6/23)

Only when replacing the cylinder head cover (2).

Install in the reverse order



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
