5 | Cover cutout (A) with body adhesive tape | Cover surface to be processed over wide area. | |
6 | Install positioning template | Position from inside or outside and fasten with adhesive tape | |
7 | Mark cutout (A) | ||
8 | Drill corners with 8 mm sheet metal bit | Avoid damaging paint. | |
9 | Saw out cutout (A) along inner edge with suitable cutting tool. | ||
10 | Deburr inner edge and treat to prevent corrosion | See Paintwork Manual. | |
11 | Remove glass cover from the frame | ||

12 | Insert tilting roof frame (2) from bottom and arrest | ||
13 | Insert wind deflector (1) | ||
14 | Mark holes for guide strips (8, 9) with beam trammel | ||
15 | Drill holes with 9 mm sheet metal bit | ||
16 | Install guide strips on O-rings (14) and install | ||
17 | Insert spacers (10) and screw on with guide strip (8, 9) | | |
18 | Install guide rail (6) at front on frame and screw onto spacers (10) | | |
19 | Insert sun visor (5) | ||
20 | Install guide rail (7) at front on frame and screw onto spacers (10) at rear. | | |
21 | Fasten center attachment point of guide rails (6, 7) with Torx screw (self-tapping) | Drill hole with 4.5 mm if required. | |

22 | Screw bolt (11) on tilting/sliding roof frame to roof carrier | | |
23 | Connect wiring harness | Ensure that cable is correctly routed. | |
