Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Risk of death cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Disconnect coolant feed hose (2) and coolant outlet hose (1) to STH or HB heater unit (A6) and coolant pump

Catch coolant with suitable vessel.

Danger!

Risk of explosion caused by fuel vapors igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling combustible gases and risk of injury caused by burns during and after operation of heater unit

Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed areas or when refueling. Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves.

Disconnect fuel line (3) from the STH or HB heater unit (A6)

Catch fuel running out with suitable vessel.

Disconnect electrical connectors (4, 5) from electrical connection lines.

Installation: replace tie straps (6).

Disconnect exhaust line (7) from STH or HB heater unit (A6)

Disconnect air supply line from STH or HB heater unit (A6)

Remove STH or HB heater unit (A6)

Loosen mounting screws (8) and lift out STH or HB heater unit (A6).

Remove coolant circulation pump

Install in the reverse order

Pour in coolant

Start up stationary heater

If the STH or HB heater unit (A6) switches itself off before reaching its operating temperature and cannot be restarted, there is a fault interlock. Eliminate fault interlock:
