1 | Remove seat belts with emergency tensioning retractor | ||
2 | Remove CL control unit and air brake (spoiler) (N134/1) from bracket and lay down to side | ||
3 | Remove ground cable (2) | ||
4 | Remove soft top compartment paneling in trunk | ||
5 | Remove left side paneling in trunk | ||
6 | Remove water drain hoses (4) in trunk | ||
7 | Remove tensioning straps (5) | Observe installation position of bolts (6). | |
8 | Close soft top (1) to position shown | ||
9 | Remove paneling (10) | ||
10 | Detach water drain (7) in area of B-pillar | Installation: Refer to: | |
Fasten water drain (7) in area of B-pillar | |||

11 | Detach water drain (7) in area of trunk lid (arrows) | Installation: Align drain fittings (8) in center of hole (9). | |
12 | Remove bolts (11), remove washers (12) | | |
13 | Screw in bolts (11) again | This secures washers. | |
14 | Completely open soft top (1) | ||
15 | Disconnect electrical connector (13), unclip power outlet and lay toward front with electric wiring harness | ||
16 | Remove bolts (14), remove washers (15) | | |
17 | Screw in bolts (14) again | This secures washers. | |
18 | Remove bolts (16) and loosen clamping bracket (17) | Observe installation position of water drain (7) in clamping bracket (17). | |

19 | Protect left and right rear fender with adhesive tape | When lifting out soft top (1) the paint on the rear fender can be damaged. | |
20 | Lift soft top (1) with crane, push toward left and lift out right side, then push toward right and completely lift soft top (1) out of vehicle. | Lift soft top (1) carefully to prevent damaging vehicle. | |
Attach lifting cable to roll bars (18) on soft top (1). | |||
Installation: Observe position of soft top canvas in area of left and right soft top support. | |||
21 | Install in the reverse order | ||
22 | Read out fault memory, erase if necessary | ||
| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory |
