Remove bolts (5)

Remove door lock (6)



Install

Unscrew screws (3) and remove cover (4)

Install door lock (6)

 Observe rear-end door CL command switch (M14/7s2). It can be damaged with the lower bolts (2).

 When inserting door lock (6), guide upper bolt (7) into elongated hole on connecting rod (8).

 Secure bolts (5).

Move connecting rod (8) to lower bottom dead center by actuating the door operation button on the rear-end door once.

Arrest door lock (6) in second catch position.

Check dimension "a" using visual inspection

 Dimension "a" must be 0.5 mm.

Loosen bolts (1) and adjust clearance.

Only if dimension "a" is not reached.

Tighten screws (1)

Check door lock (6) for proper function, correct adjustment if necessary.

 When open, because the rear door is not equipped with an emergency unlocking feature.

Check position of striker pin on other door wing in relation to door lock (6).

 The striker pin must run centered into the door lock (6), if necessary adjust position of striker pin.

Install cover (4) and tighten bolts (3).
