 	Disassemble/assemble
1.1	Remove door paneling (10) from rear door	Except freezer vehicle or refrigerator vehicle, code ZA5 or ZA8
1.2	Remove insulating element for rear door	On freezer vehicle or refrigerator vehicle, code ZA5 or ZA8	AR83.65-D-2260A
2	Disconnect connector (9) and pull off plug of license plate illumination (15)
3	Remove license plate illumination
4	Pull out switch (8) and remove connector	 Installation: Check switch (8) for proper function, replace if required.
5	Drive out roll pin (20) and pull off locking rod handle (21)	 Installation: Replace roll pin (20).
6	Remove door catch (12)	 Installation: Observe installation position of tapping plate (14). Check adjustment of door catch in relation to counterpart.

7	Remove door hinges (6)	Upper door hinge

8	Remove closing wedge (4)		*BA72.20-N-1002-01A
9	Drill rivet (17) out of bottom closing wedge (16) and remove closing wedge	 Use drill bit with diameter of 4.8 mm.
9	Pull off rear door seal (28) and check condition, replace if required	 Installation: Position rear door seal first at top and bottom flush and then push from outside toward inside.
	Sprayed-on rubber flag on rear door seal modified	Model 901, 902, 903, 904 as of VIN xP 671 700  A defective rear door gasket can only be replaced with the new version.	BT72.20-N-2401-02A
10	Remove rod-type lock (23)	 Arrest top locking rod (2) with suitable tool.  Installation: The bolt in the rod-type lock must engage in the holes (arrows) in the locking rods (2, 19). Before installation, it is possible to install a rubber ring with 6 mm dia. on the bolts for the rod-type lock.
11	Remove clip (25)
12	Pull out locking rods guides (1, 18, 27) and remove locking rods (2, 19) from rear door
