Warning

Pour AdBlue into suitable containers only. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.

Notes on use, material properties and handling of AdBlue®

Remove/install

Switch off ignition.

Disconnect electrical connector (1).

Expose electrical line (2).

Installation: Replace removed cable ties.

Clean AdBlue® tank (4) in area of SCR AdBlue fill level and temperature sensor® (6).


No soiling may enter the AdBlue® container (4).
Otherwise, failure or malfunction of the exhaust aftertreatment system may occur.

Turn SCR AdBlue fill level and temperature sensor® (6) to left (arrow) and remove from AdBlue® tank (4).

If AdBlue® drops get onto AdBlue® tank (4), remove resulting urea crystallizations with water and a lint-free cleaning cloth.

Installation: Check O-ring (3) for wear and damage, replace if necessary.
