Switch off ignition

Detach plug of electrical wiring harness (1) from temperature sensor (2)

Danger !

Risk of injury caused by touching hot retarder and by scalding from hot retarderoil. Risk of injury to skin or eyes caused by retarder oil escaping under high pressure

Do not carry out any work unless retarder is switched off. Wear suitable protective clothing and safety glasses when working on the hot retarder.

Remove temperature sensor (2) from hydrodynamic retarder

Removal: Collect escaping oil in a suitable container.

Installation: Replace the sealing ring (3).

Install in the reverse order
