A Measuring internal dimension of axle housing
1 Push spacer ring () onto left-hand side of measuring device (02, ).
2 Install measuring device (02, ) in rear axle housing and measure gap using feeler gauge (a).
2 Determine internal dimension of housing and note measurement.
The internal dimension is calculated by adding the size of the special tool and the measurement for the gap.
Example: Special tool size 163.8 mm
Feeler gauge gap 1.1 mm
Internal housing dimension 164.9 mm

B Measuring differential
1 Place differential on a level surface with one 5mm thick shim at the top and another at the bottom, and meaasure the overall height (arrows).
Example: Differential measured with shims 164.1 mm
Differential without shims 154.1 mm
