Remove/install

Remove front propeller shaft.

Remove propeller shaft from transfer case (3).

Disconnect electrical connectors (1).

Remove electrical wiring harness (2) from transfer case (3).

 Installation: Check retaining clips.

If corresponding findings are present,



replace affected retaining clips.

Remove bleed line (4) from transfer case (3).

 Plug openings.

Support transfer case (3) and secure with tensioning strap.



Remove bolts (5).

 There are 9 bolts (5) in all. Bolts (5) are screwed-in at the transmission end and the transfer case end (distributed around the circumference).
