Lift countershaft (4) out of the support plate

 If the production date of the support plate is prior to 10.2006, the support plate must be reworked:





Change support plate for transmission.

Press constant mesh gear (1) off countershaft (4)

Press 5th gear gearwheel (2) off countershaft (4)

Press 4th/3rd gear gearwheel (3) off countershaft (4)

Remove circlip (6)

Remove bearing inner race (5)

Assemble

 Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.

Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.

Heat up bearing inner race (5) to max. 80 °C and install

Install circlip (6).

Heat up 4th/3rd gear gearwheel (3) to max. 180 °C and install

Heat up 5th gear gearwheel (2) to max. 180 °C and install

Heat up constant mesh gear (1) to max. 180 °C and install

Insert countershaft (4) in the support plate
