 Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Open engine hood

Open cooling system cap (1) at coolant expansion reservoir (2)

 Turn cooling system cap (1)1/2 one revolution anti-clockwise, release pressure, then unscrew cooling system cap (1).

Remove lower engine compartment paneling

Drain coolant from radiator

Slide siphon hose onto fitting on radiator (3), open radiator drain plug (4) and drain coolant

 Catch coolant with suitable vessel.

Close radiator drain plug (4) and detach drain hose from radiator fitting (3)

Drain coolant at crankcase

Loosen crankcase drain plug (5)

Slide drain hose onto crankcase drain plug (5), open crankcase drain plug (5) and drain coolant

 Catch coolant with suitable vessel.

Detach drain hose from crankcase drain plug (5) and screw tight crankcase drain plug (5)



Lower vehicle

Filling

Pour in coolant and bleed cooling system

 Reuse the clean coolant.
