Remove charge air cooler

Remove charge air pipe downstream of charge air cooler

Remove low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir (1)

Removal: To do this, remove screw/bolts (2).

Screw/bolt, low pressure expansion reservoir to carrier plate/engine suspension lug

Remove screw/bolt (3)

Screw/bolt, cable duct to charge air distributor

Disconnect electrical connection (4)

Unclip electrical line (5) from retaining clamp (arrow)

Lift cable duct (6) and expose electrical line (5)


Do not lift cable duct (6) too high.
The cable duct (6) will get damaged otherwise.

Remove screw/bolts (7) from throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

Screw/bolt, throttle valve actuator to charge air distributor

Take out throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

Installation: Replace seal.

Install in the reverse order

Venting air from low-temperature circuit

Check low-temperature circuit cooling system for leaktightness
