Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove

Remove poly-V belt

Remove fan shroud

Loosen screw/bolt (2)

 For this purpose, counterhold belt pulley (1). A helper is required.

 Pin wrench

Remove screw (2) by a few turns


Distance of screw (2) to belt pulley (1) must be at least 15 mm.
Belt pulley (1) can otherwise not be fully released from crankshaft.

Install puller (3), as shown, on belt pulley (1)

 Attach thrust spindle of puller (3) to screw (2).

Release belt pulley (1) from crankshaft

If necessary



Release thrust spindle of puller (3), further unscrew screw (2) and reattach thrust spindle of puller (3).

Remove puller (3) from belt pulley (1)

Remove belt pulley (1)

 For this purpose, fully unscrew screw (2).



Check

Check belt pulley (1) for damage

Depending on findings



Replace damaged belt pulley (1).

Check radial shaft sealing ring

Depending on findings



Replace radial shaft sealing ring.

Install

Install belt pulley (1) on crankshaft

Screw in new screw (2)
